Fasting In Islam

?How can the intention of fasting be achieved

ساعة الإفطار11

Devotion is needed in your intention with Allah; The Almighty." They were ordered not to worship anyone except Allah devoted to his religion (Albainah)

In the Prophet (PBUH) narration" Deeds are accounted by intention. Everyone is rewarded according to his intention (narrated by Al-BoKhari, Muslim)

Intention for fasting should be before dawn every night in the month of Ramadan as in Hafsa's narration- May Allah be pleased with her-She said: Allah's messenger (PBUH) said" Whoever doesn't gather fasting before dawn, his fasting is invalid(narrated by Ahmed, people of regulations, corrected by Abu-Khozamah and Ibn-Haban)

Intention can be done at any part of the night. It is not necessarily to be said utterly as it is a heart deed. Whoever eats before dawn intending to fast for Allah, his intention is valid. Whoever intends to stop fasting prohibitions during the day devoting his intention to Allah, his intention is also valid even if he didn't have Pre-Dawn Meal.

As for the voluntarily fasting, intention is sufficient during the day if he hadn't eaten. Aesha said: The Prophet (PBUH) came in and said" Do you have anything for me to eat?" We said "No." He said" Then I am going to fast" (narrated by Muslim and Abu-Dawoud)
